Pellet Grill FAQ's

Pellet grills need electricity to power their digital components like temperature displays, control panels, and the auger that feeds the pellets from the hopper to the fire pot.

This can vary depending on the type of pellet & the brand of the grill, but you can generally expect to burn through 1 – 1.5 pounds of wood pellets per hour.

Since wood pellets are a renewable source of energy, are burned using minimal electricity, and don’t call for lighter fluids, pellet grills can be considered more eco-friendly than charcoal or gas grills.

You should deep clean your pellet grill every 5-10 uses depending on the ash buildup. If you do a lot of all-day smoking sessions, you should clean your grill more often. It’s good to clean the grates after every cook and remove ash from the fire pot & ignitor after every other cook.

Yes! All major flavors of smoking woods also exist in flavored pellets.

This depends on the humidity in the storage area. In a place with low humidity, pellets can be stored for up to 6 months. But, in areas with high humidity, pellets can be stored for up to 3 months. It’s best to store them in an airtight, gasketed container in a dry place.
